We were very saddened to hear of the death of Lebinge, a refugee Mother, last October in Kakuma Camp, just as her family’s visa for Australia was finally about to be approved….Her story was excruciating – She had suffered violence too awful to describe, and her courage and determination in the face of such difficulty was incredible.
Her dream was to see her children have a future and an education. She would have been overjoyed to see them finally arrive here.
Her husband, two sons, two daughters and nephew have just arrived, and been given a big welcome from Albury Sanctuary Refugee Settlement group.
They were very tired but happy to arrive safely to begin their new life! The group has found them a nice home, and they thank all those who have assisted in making this possible.
